Mrs Nana Fatima Paturel is a finance and investment advisor with over 30 years experience in financial management, risk management, treasury, business development and investment banking. She is the founder and CEO of Greenvest Environmental Initiative, Green Vest Capital, Greenvest Carbon and Anahata Consult. Her platform Greenvest Environmental Initiative focuses on raising funds for climate smart agriculture in developing countries, starting with Nigeria. It also provides sustainable trainings in support of small-holder farmers within the region. Her work experience has been gained from reputable institutions in banking including United Bank for Africa, Standard Trust Bank, Zenith Bank, Merchant Bank for Africa amongst others. Nana’s educational qualifications were gained at Stanford University Graduate School of Business (GSB) where she participated in LEAD, a one-year change leadership innovation and advanced management course, IESE Business school, University of Navarra Spain where she obtained an Executive MBA and The Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where she bagged a BSC in Business Administration with specialization in Finance. She is currently pursuing a course in Big Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Texas at Austin. Nana is married with three grown children and currently resides in Nigeria, where she is deepening roots for Greenvest Initiatives and looking to expand footprint and impact.
Jimengi Asan is the current Chief of Operations and agricultural lead at Greenvest Environment Initiative. He has led field teams to conduct the market surveys, baseline and NEEDS assessments in Tarkaa, Guma, Gwer, Ushongo, Vandeikya and Gboko Local Government Areas of Benue State. He has also led the field team deploying the Nigeria Smallholder farmer Climate Smart Agriculture Project to strengthen the capacity of smallholder farmers and other beneficiaries on climate-smart agricultural practices and carbon credit marketing. He was a Lead Facilitator at UNICEF where he developed an active learning story for Primary and Pre-Primary Learners in Conventional and displacement settings in 2022. Jimengi Asan was a freelance Program Officer in Makurdi, Benue State from 2018 to 2022 where he focused on Proposal writing, Budget & Project Progress tracking, Staff Capacity building, Programming and Programmatic Support/Reporting, MEAL planning/Support, Gender & Climate Advocacy. Between 2021 and 2022, he worked part-time at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Nigeria as a Surveillance Officer between 2021 and 2022 and as a Lot Quality Assurance Surveyor where he supervised and ensured data collection and timely reporting of Programme Assessment for Performance Management and Action through Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (PAPA -LQAS) for Routine Immunization, Maternal Neonatal Child Health. Jimengi Asan graduated from University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Nigeria and has acquired knowledge and certification in different fields such as Conflict Early Warning and Early Response Systems, Integrated Disease Surveillance Response by World Health Organization and Introduction to WASH in Emergency among others.
Kenneth James has been a Software Engineer since 2012. He leads the team developing the mobile application and platform for GEI’s digital cooperative, its wallet and marketplace. He has over a decade experience, in web, mobile, and software development. His Proven track record of leading teams to meet organizational goals in website development, software project management and strong knowledge of technology innovations and trends gave him the opportunity to serve effectively as the Software Project Manager. As the Software Project Manager, among other tasks he successfully executed, he has 1. Overseen the successful development and delivery of multiple software projects 2. Collaborated with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, establish project plans, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets 3. Conducted thorough analysis of project scope and objectives, identify potential risks and dependencies, and develop effective mitigation strategies. Prior to this, Kenneth was the Software Project Manager at GivfreeAfrica between 2012-2015,and the Head of IT for African Travel Times from 2015 to 2019 with strong delivery track records.
